Schools Marketing Manager

Award-winning brand, Award-winning team. As the School's Marketing Manager, you’ll be joining our Direct Marketing department and be responsible for leading our growth plans in schools across the UK for The Week Junior.

The Week Junior is an award-winning current affairs magazine for children aged 8-14. Launched in November 2015, it is the UK’s fastest growing children's magazine. As The Week Junior continues to grow, you will be responsible for delivering tactical campaigns with building commercially sound business plans - whilst building an influential network of education partnerships and ambassadors.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll be working closely with TWJ Consumer Marketing Manager to raise awareness within the education sector, running events, managing partnerships,  building our schools database and above all, delivering engaging campaigns which drive school subscriptions.
  • Personable and professional, you will lead the engagement and endorsement programme. This strives to identify, network and build mutually beneficial programmes of activity with like minded charities, MATs, education bodies and senior education leaders.
  • You will ultimately shape the way we manage our school subscriptions. So you will not only deliver growth, but ensure our subscribing schools experience the best service and inspiring content and resources from TWJ.

Why you?

  • You’re an experienced Direct Marketing Manager with knowledge of the education sector, with a proven track record of delivering integrated direct marketing campaigns - ideally b2b.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills to engage and influence range of audiences - eg teachers, government, charity partners, agencies and creative teams.
  • Commercially astute to enable effective management of budgets and build forecasts.
  • Experience of building, testing and evaluating campaigns on engagement platforms.
  • Strong project management skills to run multiple projects as well as an understanding of running and optimising social media campaigns.
  • You have excellent writing skills and you’re able to write engaging copy.
