Senior Digital Project Manager

Overview

Responsible for the project management and timely implementation of commercial and brand digital projects across Dennis Publishing’s online portfolio.

  • Acting as the main point of contact and communicating effectively to all internal and external stakeholders, through the project lifecycle.
  • You will plan, document, budget, communicate and troubleshoot at all levels and liaise with clients at every step of the project life-cycle, reporting internally and externally, ensuring a structured, coordinated approach.
  • Projects may typically include B2B and B2C websites which include multiple elements - data capture, bespoke content creation (articles, video), social media, email marketing, media-first promotional formats, surveys and more.
  • This is a very hands-on role and although you will have input from sales, editorial, design, video, tech and project managers, you will be responsible for managing clients and their projects independently, successfully and profitably.
  • As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to lead by example at all times. This includes mentoring and assisting other project managers within Dennis Digital as well as the wider business. You will also be expected to promote best practices and educate areas of the business via workshops and presentations.

 

 

What will you be doing?

  • Building and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships
  • Digital project management through the project lifecycle
  • Defining project scope, gathering requirements, agreeing/managing cost, creating project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Briefing editorial, creative and development teams
  • Managing the implementation and reporting of all Dennis and agreed third party tracking links (click/impression counters)
  • To create profit and loss accounts for each individual project and report on a monthly basis to the relevant accounts departments.
  • To schedule and attend photo/video shoots booked as part of a project.
  • Evaluation and QA of all projects
  • Seeking opportunities and generating ideas for clients and advising them accordingly
  • Accurate and timely financial management of projects including invoicing
  • Tracking and reporting on all key-performance indicators
  • Creating quick concise status update reports
  • Foreseeing and flagging any issues that may affect production deadlines, quality or profitability of projects
  • Leading project retrospectives and following up on action points to ensure continuous improvements
  • Deputising for other project managers when required
  • Working with sales and accounts to ensure transparent and accurate records of projected and actual costs
  • Ensuring project resource is adequate, and roles and responsibilities are clear
  • Working closely and helping to define the best working relationship with the Client Services and Campaign Management team

  • Professional attitude to work with excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Able to ensure projects are commercially viable in the short term, whilst also looking for the long term value of projects
  • You will be level headed, dependable and calm under pressure
  • You will be capable of winning the respect and trust of clients, creative and technical teams as well as internal sales, editorial, designers and developers
  • Supremely organised and able to work across multiple projects at the same time
  • You will be constantly looking for ways to evolve processes and improve the experience for stakeholders
  • You will act as an ambassador and representative for Dennis to external
