Sub Editor - Evo

evo is recruiting a Sub Editor to join its editorial team!

Who are we looking for?

Do you have obsessive attention to detail?  Can you work in the pressured environment of a multi-platform production desk? Do you know your Zagato from your Zonda? Are your sub-editing skills good enough to work on the most exciting motoring title in the world?

You will also be confident in managing copy flow, proofreading and assisting the production editor across evo’s platforms including print, website, iPad and more.

You will need to be confident in your skills, experienced in production ability, comfortable in a media environment and have a passion for cars and writing. Wannabe road testers need not apply.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be working with the Managing editor, Web editor and art desk on every aspect of the  production process to ensure the subbing desk works as efficiently as possible across all evo channels. You’ll be expected to ensure every piece of copy submitted by staff and freelancers reaches evo’s high standards of accuracy, flair and originality.

Working with the Managing editor, you will also manage the flow of copy across all platforms to ensure print and publication deadlines are adhered to.

You will also be be expected to work collaboratively with writers and photographers with regards to asset delivery and upload and update web stories using the CMS.
