We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual who loves everything about data, is comfortable working under their own initiative but also thrives on leading teams on a variety of projects.
In this newly created role you will be part of the team responsible for delivering GDPR compliance across Dennis ahead of the May 2018 deadline. You will also be key to establishing tactics like an internal training programme or an annual GDPR audit that ensure continued compliance and are effective in the identification and resolution of any areas of non-compliance.
You’ll be developing an understanding of operational processes and administrative controls, assessing their effectiveness in mitigating data protection risks faced by Dennis. Working with the Head of Data you will have plenty of support around you on business decisions and clarification of legislative ambiguity.
You’ll be managing the general administration of the Subject Access Request (SAR) process ensuring that records are kept in an orderly fashion as well as carrying out Privacy Impact Assessments on new products and projects and completing Data Protection Audits on business functions and key risk areas
You’ll have opportunities to contribute to the development of the organisation’s risk management and control systems and welcome the challenge of needing to develop strong working relationships with all levels of the business using your gravitas and experience.
You’ll have experience of working in a role where compliance to legislation is required. You will also have an interest in Privacy and Data Protection legislation and in particular the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR.) Your grounding in data management practises and experience of how data flows in and out of a business would also help set you apart.
Ideally you will have an honours degree or equivalent qualifications (higher education or professional qualifications) or, if you lack formal academic qualifications, relevant work experience.
